Blaumacherei - Making plant inks

On Friday, May 16, 2025 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. the Kunstforum offers a crash course on plant inks. The course fee is 50 € / person. Registration via kunstforum@tu-darmstadt.de. In this creative workshop we will make our own inks from plant parts such as roots, leaves and flowers. Learn basic techniques, how to extract many different colors from a plant and how to find needed natural resources. After the course you will have the tools to create a rainbow of sustainably produced inks! Materials will be provided. You are welcome to bring special brushes and paper, because afterwards you can draw and paint with your own inks!
