Raincheck

RAINCHECK is a punk-rock band formed in 2014 in Lyon. Regulars on the D.I.Y. punk-rock scene, the band’s members come from similar backgrounds and have been active since the early 2000s. After 10 rather relaxed years, punctuated by two heartfelt EPs, True Love (2016) and Last Call (2020), and a hundred or so gigs up and down the country, Raincheck have clearly managed to carve out a re putation as a band that’s still around after a decade - a success in its own right! Marked by the melodic punk-rock/hardcore wave of the 90s/2000s and rather attached to bands such as NOFX, Descendents or Good Riddance, the band has tried to distance itself from the influence of their mentors to create a clearly identifiable sound. And it’s only just begun, as they’re now kicking things into gear with the release of their debut 11-track album HIGHBRO LOWBRO ! The album was recorded and produced by the band itself and is being released with the help of several French and international labels. Raincheck is a band that loves the energy of the stage, amplifiers that scream, and is constantly looking for ways to play as much as possible, whether in small venues or on larger stages, with their passion for raw, lively punk-rock.
